Do you love anime and want to take your creativity to the next level? Now’s your chance to step into the world of fan fiction and craft your own stories inspired by your favorite anime series! In this 6-week virtual course, you’ll learn to write original plots, develop unforgettable characters, and experiment with the exciting elements that make fan fiction come to life—all while staying true to the anime worlds you know and love.
Course Details:
Dates: November 11th - December 16th
Time: 1 PM Central
Duration: 6 weeks, 1 hour per week
Platform: Virtual via Zoom
Level: Ages 9-14
Camera Optional: Students can choose whether or not to use their camera during the class.
Flexible Sharing Options: Sharing with the group is not required. Students may also share their work through chat if they prefer.
Voice-to-Text and Audio Sharing: Students are permitted to use voice-to-text tools to write their stories or record an audio version of their fan fiction.

Week 1: Introduction to Fan Fiction & World-Building
Learn what fan fiction is and how to write your own version of an anime world.Week 2: Creating Original Plots & Conflicts
Develop a unique plot and conflict for your fan fiction while keeping the anime universe intact.Week 3: Character Development
Build on canon characters or invent new ones that fit into the anime’s universe.Week 4: Writing Dialogue & Capturing Anime Style
Learn how to write anime-style dialogue filled with emotions and unique expressions.Week 5: Writing Suspense & Action Scenes
Create heart-pounding action sequences and use pacing to build suspense.Week 6: Resolution & Final Edits
Bring your story to a thrilling conclusion, and share your favorite excerpt with the class!
